Best Practices For Blogging

When blogging there is a certain etiquette that is expected.  You should always make sure to practice the basic guidelines to blogging.  One of these practices is to be sure to link any site that you are relating to your blog.  When a reader is reading about a site you are talking about it is best to give them the link so they can check it out as well.  Also you should be sure to have the proper title for your blogs.  A good title is very important.  It will catch the eye of the reader and let them know what they are about to read about.  As well as these practices there is the practice of post length.  You don't want a post to be too long that the reader will get bored or even lost in the blog.  You also don't want to have too short of a post.  You need to supply the reader with enough information that they can completely understand your point.  There are many more practices to be used, you can check them out at this site, http://www.capturetheconversation.com/read/blogging-best-practices-checklist ,which is were I had the pleasure of finding these particular practices.

Blog Pedagogy

Blogs are used in many ways.  One of these ways is becoming more and more popular and convenient.  Teachers are known to use blogs in there lesson plans.  Blogs can be a great tool for a teacher.  For instance, if you are an English teacher than you might use this blog, A Year Of Reading.  This blog has many tools for a teacher to help them in the classroom.  In the blog there are such links as, Jean Valentine: Poems 2.  Going to this link you are able to read, listen, and even print various poems.  This blog is an outstanding tool for a teacher looking for ideas. 
There are also blogs that can give you ideas on teaching in general.  In the blog, Learning Is Messy, you can find help in setting up your class in the first week of school.  It is difficautl to be a teacher, so haveing such blogs to help can be such a relief to them.  In this blog they help by giving links to books that help with students fitting in. 
Blogs can and do vary.  When using them to help you teach you have so many options out there.  In the blog, Integrating Tech, you have the oportunity to read posts from a teacher with 16 years experience.  This blog gives teachers the resources they need by a teacher who has been there. In closing I think it is wonderful how blogging can help so many, especially the ones that teach us all.
